In an attempt to get a video done for Halloween, Art looks at Luigi's Mansion, a game that can be beat in a single night, and yet he still fails to get it done on time. Who'd have thought.

I started this video in 2016 as part of the original 12 episode run of AU Reviews (the rest of which still haven't come out yet), but even back then things were falling apart. I then made the OFF review instead and then this episode having to come out in October kept delaying the rest of the episodes for the past several years. I thought I was gonna get back to it in 2018 when I did the Pac-man World 2 video, then 2019 when I did the Animal Crossing video, then 2020 with the Games of the Decade videos, then finally in 2021 I said I was gonna finally finish the season off in addition to making a couple more episodes that I did start that year but haven't touched since because I was working full time.

Then in October 2022, I had been unemployed for 5 months and realized I hadn't really done much to grow my online presence, so I decided to bite the bullet and finally get back to AU Reviews. The entire process of making these stopped being fun for me at some point years ago, but they're supposed to be quick to make and of all the things I make, they have the most potential to get views over time, plus I just think the end product is always super fun. So I made the plan, started working on 3 reviews in October, intending to put out all three of them that month, and then I realized halfway through the month there wasn't enough time to get them all done on time, so stupidly I decided to pivot to the Luigi's Mansion review so that I could at least get the Halloween video done in time for halloween rather than a month or two late. So much for that.

So October came and went, I had 3 minutes of another review left unfinished, this one about half done, but the holiday it was supposed to come out on had passed. I had already spent two weeks on it and figured I could get it out soon after, it shouldn't matter too much if a Halloween video came out in November, after all the OFF review came out in November, and here we are now January of 2023 and it's finally finished (and now I've uploaded it to newgrounds October 2023!!!). Yeah, I didn't work on it every day or even consistently, but for the past couple weeks I have been working on it every day and close to 8 hours every day. It was really a struggle being consistent when I started, because the process is just so agonizingly boring, but I've gotten back into the groove of it. I'm sure I'll revert back to my dumbass ways once I start the next project (I did), but at least now this is finally done. It just annoys me that I didn't put out the two reviews that were supposed to release before this one, because this review serves as the conclusion to a "story arc" that started in the SimAnt review, and one of the reviews that was supposed to come out before this one continued that, but now it'll come out afterward, which is confusing for the 0 people who will actually care about that. It's not too big of a deal because it just looks like nonsense unless you're really paying attention, and even then, it's still basically nonsense.

Anyways, I'd love to say I'm gonna work on my own stuff full time now that this is done and do multiple videos a week, but I've got some other obligations I need to get to first, and I'm an idiot and wasted pretty much the entire time I've been unemployed, and I'm almost out of money, so unless this blows up I'm gonna have to get another job soon. I did receive a few donations this past week though while streaming and I am genuinely grateful for that.
