Why turn the lights off at all, at that point

It reminds me of that anxiety and fear that you sometimes felt as a kid when you had to go to the toilet at night and then you did exactly what you showed here: run back to the safety of your bed, a shelter from the darkness. I even wrote a related short story years ago. Anyways, excellent job.

Wonderful. Like others have said, I get a massive "interstitial" feel and in a good way. Great use of the running time and well blocked and directed.
