I see you're trying to create a physiological horror for this game, and it seems to be going the right direction making the game more subtle and simple. However, using scratch is limiting you, I recommend using GameMaker 2 if you want more freedom to program, plus it comes with pre-scripted code, meaning you don't need to know how to program to make games with it. Another thing I recommend is to let the background slowly change and become distorted as the timer goes down, regardless of the amount of clicks you have until you have enough. I also recommend to have the character mostly static (have 2 slow looping frames). If you plan to add lore, have it not be the main part of the core elements of the game since it will likely ruin the emersive experience. I recommend having it being a bonus part as a treat (like having the lore hidden in the distorted background through imagery or having different levels where it progressively harder till the character finally breaks and talks it out in the end, or giving small details like the character giving you a drawing in the end of level 2 for helping out back at level 1, which contains vent art and lore)
