This entry was blammed by our users.

Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

****Filesize is over 5MB, so I had to link to the version on my site.****

A follow-up of sorts to SPAEC. There were lots of points during the development of this where I got real lazy, so some parts look rushed. On the whole, I'm glad it's finally finished.

Technical points: It chugs along fairly well on a 1.2 Duron (Thunderbird), but anything less and you'll probably notice some slowdown. If that happens, right-click and set the quality to MEDIUM or LOW.

I understand that at 7MB, this is a huge movie. And after some consideration, I decided not to skimp on certain things (though the 3D was compressed a lot, I stil have much to learn about it). I know it's long wait for 56Kers, but please bear with it.

If you don't understand the movie after watching, and you can't figure it out (some parts are really obscure). Then go here for an explanation of what the movie represents.

Overall, I hope you enjoy.

HINT: The conclusion to the story is strongly hinted at by the numbering of each ACT.

At first I didn't get it but then I started thinking and I only sort of understood. The explaination helped out. Once it was all clear, that's where the "whhooaa" came in.

Five for sound because it was a mostly silent movie and I think you understand the rest of the scoring.

Nice mind bending work my friend.

Yes...Yes.....Very "Stanley-esque." You did get my vote on that but there is something left to be said......"Can you or is there any way you could slow things down?" I mean, because it doesn't seem to go slow enough. Honestly, is there any possible way that you could make it to where I have to urinate 30 times before the movie is over? Or can there be a huge dramatic pause with no sound for about 2 hours so my head will explode with anticipation or maybe I could explore a side of anger that is brought on by an impatient tone even though I am very patient? Please make another one that is 14.4 hours with no sound, and minimal movement or progression. I would love to look at pretty scapes and shrivel with delight as they attempt to create vertical and horizontal transitions at a "wounded snails pace"

Yeah, but it was really visually stunning though. I'll give you that.

by slow I mean the story not the load time or the graphics bogging my computer. the graphics were fucking awesome, but good lord man speed up the story! . . . . . . mabye it,s just me? : }

almost GAWAHH!!!

dude, that was a heck of a movie, magnificent direction, animation and skills used in that. The one thing lacking though was a storyline, I know your's is suppossed to be confusing but I really think it could be don so much better. A man of your talent is surely capable of more. My only other criticism would be to shorten the scenes, I understand you were trying to build suspense, but too much suspense bores the audience, I almost closed the window a couple of time.
Other than that, an absolutely amazing video, you truely are one of the most visual flash animators I have ever EVER seen. Please keep up the good ork as it is truely incredible!

What The Hell???

What the hell is this?

The storyline was just crap!
It would have been a lot better if you sped it up a bit. It was so goddamn slow that it was boring.

But otherwise, the graphics were beautifully done.

Keep up the good work with your animation.

Slow......but well executed.....

Well given that I've seen Ocean of Infinity before, it was pretty easy to interpret the movie even without the explaination (there was that big OoI hint in the movie). :-)

While most people, judging from the reviews, didn't like the pace, I thinking it gave the movie a very nice 'being endlessly lost in space' atmosphere. It did work (if that was what you had planned), but the ~17 minutes was definitely way too long. Especially the space scene in the beginning before you mention OoI. I think around 12 minutes would be a nice length while still retaining that feel.

The plot I'd like to complain about though. Why the heck wouldn't you move your spaceship out of the way if you're on a collision course with a giant black monolith? :-)
And why would the first landed ship leave when the second came? I don't see a reason for that.
Oh yes, btw, what there actually supposed to be a message contained in that 'untranslatable' transmission from the black thing on Jupiter?

Anyway, while OoI gave a more satisfying ending, I still like this one a lot. It definitely deserves more than the 2.73 it has now. I guess I'll watch this again after my finals.

Keep up the good (shortened) work! :-)

After reading all the reviews and your comments, I think that everything is said about this movie.
But with this review I just wanted to let you know that I really loved this movie.
It's like you said: "fairly different", and I liked the way you brought it to the people! Slow, but mystiriously...
I just can't believe the users on newgrounds, for not voting this movie into the top 100 of all time! But hey, that's my opinion...
Anyway, my respects to you for making this "one-heck-of-a-movie"...
