Castle Blaster is easy to play but hard to master, and rewards players for frequently switching to the right weapons at the right time.
Play as the King's greatest soldier to defend your King and his Castle from his greatest arch enemy! Your King's arch enemy's castle is slowly starting to wear down due to damage from previous battles. This has made him pick on even weaker Kingdoms than before, so that he can maintain his large Castle by stealing their gold and defeating them. Your King's precious Castle took 19 years to build and he has you equipped with the most powerful futuristic weapons on Earth. Don't let your king down!
-There are 3 unique weapons, with each having their own strengths and weaknesses, but these weapons can be used to combo in order to overcome/mitigate their weaknesses.
-Castle Blaster has 4 interesting maps just for you, you can battle your enemy into the middle of the wilderness, fight next to scorching hot lava, or freezing low temperatures in the cosmos.
-200 challenging unlocked levels that get harder and longer as you advance, as well as a beginner, advance, tricky, nightmare, and hell as difficulties!
-Players can also try out the challenging endless (wave) mode, with each wave lasting 5 minutes/300 seconds, and +5000 hp on each wave, how long can you last?
Instructions
Use your weapons to blast the Enemy's castle before he blast and destroys you. Use your 1,2, or 3 keys to swap weapons, and aim with the mouse.
The futuristic Grenade Launcher can penetrate multiple bullets and is able to ricochet off the Enemy's Castle, it's best used against crowds, BOSS bullets (red bullets), and bursting down the Enemy's Castle.
You can swap to the Bow by clicking "3" on your keyboard, this weapon is great at slowly decelerating the BOSS bullets, defending your tower from Blue Bandits (blue bullets), and can be used to clear crowds of grey bullets in a single burst (at close range) due to its large projectile size.
The HMG is your main weapon and is one of the least situational weapons you have, Its reliability is unbeatable, and performs decently/well in just about all situations, but despite how reliable the HMG is, it should not be used for everything.
Geez, it took a lot of practice, and it also took me a while to learn how each weapon works, their pros/cons, and how to use them, but definitely start out in tutorial/practice mode or you will find it hard!
The music is awesome, it has a bunch of FREE levels, the maps have great visuals (especially hell mode), and I really like how not one weapon is completely better than the other, which means lots of swapping! Endless mode is a lot of fun and makes my hands sweaty (lol), but don't play it until you got pretty good. Anyways, it would be great if you added a multiplayer or quest mode, and If you really want a challenging game, this is it!
Thanks for the feedback!
I have updated the game so that there is a tutorial mode, and if I add a multiplayer, it will take me a lot of time!!
You're right though, switching weapons is key to success, especially if you know when to swap from HMG, and what each weapon is designed for.
I may add more levels. if people like the game!
This is a great example of Quantity over quality. There are SO MANY levels which is always enticing as a player, but right off the bat the first level is so chaotic and hectic that I was not in a position to play more.
Thanks for the review, but that is why there's a practice mode (bottom right of corner on the level screen) , where you will have A bunch of health in order to practice your combos and timing/aim. Each of your weapons can easily counter every other bullet, use grenades on boss bullets (red), use your machine gun against grey bullets, and your bow against blue bullets (which is why you need to swap weapons so often). The game takes some good practice too, and is meant to be challenging!
A tutorial has been added,Thanks again!
