The sixth episode in the wizard's adventures! This time, you have a pirate crew and do pirate things. Explore 4 different islands, collect treasures, steal from your enemies, discover Cueball's latest plans.


Controls:

  • WASD/Arrow keys: move

  • Click the island buttons in front of your ship to travel there.
  • R: Restart room ?
  • M: hold to bring out map

This is the one where things Really get crazy for TWR. My jaw honestly dropped with Ending 1; it seems Dr. Cueball is the one who really lets you know when things are gonna get meta and super interesting. This installment of the series feels both More and Less meta than usual, with the main ending's Restart fakeout being a really interesting turn, but the only real gamebreaking ending comes in the form of the password. Nonetheless, that ending also creatively dances across the Fourth Wall in a familiar manner, by talking about what I assume means the crewmates were AI-generated. The puzzles and minigames in this one were also fun, and the reveal of Shades and Sharp's awareness of things is also interesting of course. While I didn't discover it myself, the way the Assault and Plunder ending depends on moving to one of the other destinations mid-journey, in order to reach that mysterious Other Island, is another really clever idea.

Out of sheer impatience, I had to get the fourth ending from YouTube. Should've asked for a hint first. :-)

Anyway, this one was fun, what with the minesweeper and Sokoban minigames, and the mine maze, and the Restart twist. The boss fight was simple enough, but also fun. Kinda messed up about that part of killing Shades and Sharp, but then that's always messed up. :-)

So yeah, fun stuff. I figure if you could make bigger versions of these, I'd call in sick to work more often. :-D

I almost forgot. (I mean I did forget, since you usually don't see these edits, I think.) What does Sharp have to complain about? She never stays dead.

Cool chapter, i like the different obstacles in the islands, the desert one was my favorite by far, took me a while to figure it out though. Can't wait for the endless maze chapter!

Goddamn you Albatross! I was on track to collecting all of the orbs and you just had to go a-murderin' the two hunters and lock me into another ending I wasn't going for! Now I gotta do minesweeper all over again! Arrrghh!

Anyway, another fun chapter in this thrilling adventure! So far I've got three endings: murdering by Albatross (goddamn you Albatross, I'm trying to avoid killing those two since it plays the sad music), story ending with jumping into the tear (didn't expect the game to actually put important stuff into the main ending as a lot of it is contingent on doing additional endings from previous games, and you've had a pattern so far of the main ending being the ignorant 'run away' ending, so I'm interested to see where it goes as it was pretty epic) and the 3 orb ending (which, as silly and low-effort as that boss fight was, it was actually pretty intense haha). Had a blast getting all of these and will see how many others I can get.

(Little bug I found: if you go to the south wall of the research room you can peer into the blue dimension? Probably just some malfunctioning collision, but you never know with this game, haha)

The blue dimension was indeed initially a bug but I've discovered it and put a bunch of respawn demons in it (the ones that appear when you press R) so now it's a feature :p
