Pretty sweet game. Not too difficult in any aspect, but still difficult enough to feel like you earned your escape and had fun doing it. I did run into a couple of bugs (but there are plenty of lives in the game for each level so no biggie). First, as Dantana12 mentioned, I did have occasion where I moved away from the monster (such that they are on the tile I was just on) where it killed me. No, I wasn't attempting to move through the monster, and it only happened once. Every other time the monster moved in sync with me and did not kill me. I did not attempt to recreate this. Second, in one of the levels (second to the last I believe) the princess and one of the monsters became invisible and no longer interacted with the game objects, well most of the objects, I eventually ran into a monster that was in an area I shouldn't have been able to get to, this killed me. Again, this bug only happened once, I did not attempt to recreate the error, and the next run played perfectly.

Solid 4.5 star game, only real criticism is I wish there was more of it. Keep up the great work!

blit-blat responds:

Sorry about the bugs, I have been unable to replicate them myself and so can’t fix them! Feel free to PM your browser and OS (including version numbers please!) and I can have another look.

I’m glad the bugs didn’t ruin the experience too much though and you still found the game fun! I did want make the game longer (and maybe add a boss level) but I found the level design a bit of a struggle. That said, she’s notoriously unlucky so Princess Apple might be kidnapped again in the future!

when moving from a field, that a demon is now moving onto, it kills me, although my character is already on another field (in the same move) is this intended?

blit-blat responds:

It's hard to know without knowing what direction you're moving. If you're moving onto the square the demon was on and their moving on to the square you were on then yes that's intend; the monster can eat you as you move past him!

Like remember when you told me how to get the knight achievement?
Um how long does his journey go for?
10 minutes, 30, 1h?
I got the achievement but idk for how long I went afk.
I know it's a long time because it says I'm the 6th guy to unlock this but how long?

blit-blat responds:

I'll need to check exactly what I left it as, but I think it's abut 10 minutes. Go and put the kettle on!

this is actually very good for what it is, and not overly long either.

just wanted to leave a review to explain that monsters' patterns aren't random; each one of them moves in a fixed direction when you move in a specific direction.
so some of them move the same as you, some of them go down when you move right etc..
it's only a matter of figuring out where they move when you move in which direction.

blit-blat responds:

Thank you! And yeah, maybe I should have explained the mechanics in the description a bit more, but I though it would be obvious after a few turns playing! It's hard to see the wood for the trees sometimes when you're developing stuff!

Well, this was a genuinely good game, but damn was it hard! Everything had to be timed to absolutely precision! I had no idea what was really going on. It's hard to be motivated to play something so long and difficult. It was done with good sprite work. The music was good too.

I can't even give instructions on how to beat the level. People don't like it when I give instructions in my reviews anyway. A lot of it just seemed like luck. Yeah, I'm just not into puzzle games. I still have to recommend it to people who are.

blit-blat responds:

Thanks, glad you thought it was good, even if it was too hard! As @qwerty741 said in their review, when you move, the monsters (and spikes) also move. The direction they move in doesn't always correspond with your direction, but it does remain constant.
