Love the concept, i could imagine coming back to this idea and fleshing it out more. it would make for a really good challenge game, i could see getting upgrades as you go on maybe even becoming a roguelike
This isn't a game it's a psychology test. If you get pissed off at a bunch of incompetent doofuses messing up your game, instead of laffing at it 'cuz it's just a game, then you've got issues.

Silly, and fun! The ramping complexity kept me well engaged!
i got the jokkkeee
really fun(ny) game!~
It took me around until the 4th level to realize that maybe the archers weren't on my side
I noticed they weren't doing any damage to the slimes, so I just assumed they couldn't, and I kept killing the Goblins too quick
And then I got shot by an arrow
This is a really unique king of bullet hell game and I enjoyed it
Was really hoping to see the King get into the fight at the end, and maybe have to not accidently hit him
This is honestly a brilliant concept for a game. I was hoping the king himself would join the fray in the final level for absolute mayhem, but still, what a fun idea.
I think making the scoreboard “Level reached” is a strange choice because it puts everyone who completes the game on the same score. Perhaps “Fewest defeats on game completion” would be more varied?
Good luck in the game jam!
Thanks, and good call about the scoreboard -- I've updated the NewGrounds version with a death counter.
