Someone on discord said that if I make an RPGMaker MV game, they'd 100% it. So, I made this. There's a normal ending and a 100% ending. I have no idea what I'm doing, but it'll be funny so I believe it'll work. Yugi once said to have the heart of the cards and believe in your deck or something. That really resonated with me. I too can become a deck and perhaps duel someone.
Also, RPGMaker is pretty BAD! (Not clickbait!!!) I probably will not be using it in the future!!! HA!!! Very cool!!! It's 1 AM.

this game sucks
don't 100% it
i'm 22 hours in and it's not stopping
EDIT: Now I have actually beaten the game, took me just under 27 hours. The above comment is me being stuck in the final 100% dungeon in complete suffering lmao
It's kind of nuts what you were able to achieve with like the worst hand dealt to you with RPG maker not being able to make basic as hell RPG conventions like freakin' boss AI.
The worst boss fights by far were ones that got fucked over by RNG AI, Tesla Truck and beast/dragon eye spam can fuck off LOL
Reference wise I got the full picture, anything I didn't know about I had Dough explain it in VC.
Screw the mazes btw, the monster hunter 100% route is a nightmare and I forgot the ONE chest I need with the one epithet in that frozen maze in the castle and even on my grindset I really didn't want to explore that maze again 😱
Press Turn carries this game hard, I also love the customization options and the Epithet system in addition to being able to allocate points. There's a funny exploit with allocate where you can give +10 HP which spares you a revive, but it's not that useful especially when you have a ton of revive items/skills.
Atlas Corporation is my favorite zone in the game, fights are weirdly fun and the fact that almost everyone has weaknesses and you can do crit strats to gamble extra half-turns for yourself leads to a really fun combat cycle.
Favorite boss is hard to say cuz they were all pretty fuckin fun or at least varied enough that I had to constantly adjust my strats until I was forced to "crack" the game with the Tesla Truck bossfight, though that fight gets fucked over by RNG hard and can leave you hanging where you're unsure if you're even doing the right strat to beat it. I can't fully blame you for it because an engine like >>>RPG<<< MAKER should let you do non-RNG boss fights without plugins, for real man.
anyway 10/10 best game ever don't 100% it unless you have godlike patience. If you just go for a normal ending you'll have a good time once you learn how to game the system.
btw questlog when???
I never thought I could feel this kind of discomfort in my life
dammn im dead with first fight :(
EDIT: After 100% beating this game, I'm going to break my review down into 4 categories.
Gameplay: 5/5 - This is a really well balanced RPG, brutally difficult, with every part being just beatable given enough time and strategy. The characters progress through the game well, and become stronger over time.
Graphics+Music: 4/5 - The sounds and music are well chosen and complement the game.
References: 0/5 - I really felt uncomfortable with some of the references and jokes. Possibly I just don't understand them?
Addictivenss: 5/5 - 15 hours to beat the main game, about 45 hours to beat it 100%. The final dungeon is a real doozy. I did this all in the past 6 days, so the game is clearly very good at drawing you in and making you keep playing.
