So what do we have here a platformer test, well there's nothing I can rate or... I mean the "game" is just for you for us here there is nothing more to do than play with values. So I don't want this to get deleted nor get frontpaged so 2.5 out of 5
More Godot Stuff! Learned a lot making this, not too sure what else to say other than I hope you have a good day! :D
If you click the button to hear me talk about this little test, yes, I am aware of the shit quality microphone.
Paraphrased transcript for the button audio, in case you can't hear it.:
Hey guys, this is Paradox. I'm the guy who made this little demonstration here. I'm going to give you a quick overview as to what you're looking at.
If you press A and D you're able to move around, and if you press space you can jump.
The animations are a little messed up, I'm still very much learning Godot.
Essentially, I made a little environment that you can run around in.
If you jump into a wall and hold towards it, you can jump off of it, or just jump straight up.
I made this specifically for testing purposes; There were a few other things I was going to include like sound effects and stuff like that. It's just that this was becoming a little too large for a movement test project, and I have other things that I want to test/mess with. I'm getting more well versed in what I'm doing, so I might make a more official platformer in the future.
At the top of the screen you can see adjustable values. Using these you can adjust the gravity, fall speed, max speed, acceleration, and jump speed.
Thank you for trying out my little platformer demo!
I know there's not that much to do other than run around and jump off walls, but thank you!
