Pretty good for these kind of games.

Some tips for players.
You want to land easy, and in the correct direction.
Press M for "Map" which you normally get a small "Map" but it just makes that a lot bigger with various colored dots showing stuff.
The green dot on the map is your home base and also a smaller green dot your current location.
The red dots are enemy bases and you can expect enemies to be nearby. Fire at them using Q. Capture enemy bases by killing any nearby enemies then landing on the base.
The blue dots are your bases.
The black dots are spots you can mine and it looks like rocky terrain. To mine it, simply land on it (and sometimes press and hold down is required)
The different sized white dots are various planets, moons, and such.
The giant white dot is the sun and the giant black dot is the black hole.

Recommend giving yourself the maximum money in the options (the game lets you do this) and then just buying out the shop at the beginning of the game.

A tutorial would have been nice but you can figure it out on your own. Maybe something Mission based like conquer this base or mine that planet.
Theres not that much to do but its fun.
