With this in mind, I interpret Magritte's painting “Son of Man” as a portrait of humanity, the faceless figure being everyone, and ultimately no one simultaneously. I wanted to exaggerate this by featuring the eponymous figure as a morphing amalgamation of many similar yet distinct individuals. Their shared anonymity allows them to assimilate the role, and easily blend in with one another further removing any semblance of individuality and identity.
Addendum: This piece was originally made for a class, and the prompt was "memory." The sound is a inverted shepard tone found here: https://freesound.org/people/MatthewSquidz/sounds/497231/. I used it to help push the idea of something constantly changes but still maintaining the same form.
