After over a year of being stuck in development limbo thanks to a certain (non-computer) virus, my next Game Design class game is finally here!!!

Clippy's Windows Defense is a Space Invaders-type game starring the infamous Microsoft Agent Clippy, as he blasts some funny meme viruses to save the computer. If you’ve seen Vinesauce Joel’s Windows Destruction series, a lot of these should be familiar faces. The game was sort of intended to be an homage to those streams, as well as my own nostalgia for Windows XP. BonziBuddy and Protegent represent some of the most iconic viruses from the Windows Destruction series, The smiley face represents YouAreAnIdiot.org, Nyan Cat represents the MEMZ trojan, and the error message represents an error message because I ran out of ideas.

Controls:

Arrow keys to move left and right

Space to fire

After clicking start, you have to click the screen again to be able to control the game. I didn't know how to fix that, sorry.

This game began development in December 2019 in my Game Design class and wasn't finished until June 2021. I made a video talking about this game's development history, and some other stuff about it, which you can watch here.
