!!UPDATE!!

This game will soon be outdated!

There is going to be a brand new version of this game released on here, Money Man: Classic will still stay up on this page.

Be sure to follow me and check out my news posts to stay updated on Money Man: Refunded!

*DISCLAIMER*

I DO NOT own all of the characters and the sprites. (I only made some of them.) This is a fan game based on a couple of Jazzuo's game's called "GM Golf Challenge", "GM Double Fall", and "Sexy Hiking". This game also contains flashing lights and it's not recommended to play for those who may have epilepsy. This is my first legit game and I am trying to improve my game making skills so feedback is always appreciated, thanks!

Story

Money Man is on a quest to get all of his money back after he gambled it all away. He now has to use his crappy old PC to warp to areas containing some fat stacks and steal them. Unfortunately for him someone doesn't like the fact that he's stealing and will do anything in his power to stop him.

Controls

Gamepads & Mobile Devices are not supported.

  • Enter - Select
  • E - Interact with objects & Swing Hammer
  • Up arrow - Open doors
  • Left & Right arrows - Move/Select
  • Space - Jump
  • Cursor - Using buttons & dragging the ball

holy crap freakin sweet

I beat the game 100%. But it's a bit shame achievements don't pop properly.
Regardless this is the tightest and frustrating controls I had to go with but definitely puts up a beat where some strategy is involved on beating certain levels so it wasn't too shabby.

Ant responds:

Thanks! :D
If you're curious about the title, this game is being remade and will be a ton better!

Fun

I had some fun with this game the art is nice and funny seems like a lot of work went into this one the tutorial was nice, the controls for the main character run well, and for the mostpart this is a lil comical at times, I love a lot of things about this game but most of all some nice creativity along with your own passion and ideas bring it all together but for what it it, it was a fun and entertaining game here

~X~

Ant responds:

Thanks dude!

If you liked this than I'm sure you'll enjoy my reimagining of this game with a full story, bug fixes, extended gameplay, more detail in terms of graphics, more characters, boss fights, references to my past work and more!

I've been working very hard on it for a long time and it should be out soon! :D

Money Man Classic is the best game ever made
<!SPOILER WARNING!>
Money man classic is the #1 game on Newgrounds, no, the #1 game of ALL TIME. Money Man:Classic is an incredible experience which changed my entire view of games. Never have I seen something so revolutionary for gaming since the invention of 3D games. Money Man: Classic is a platforming adventure game with a great story, level design, and perfect controls, with a great art style to boot. Im gonna tackle each one at a time for a more well structured comment
#1: Story. The story is pretty simple, but thats all it needs to be. It doesn't take it self overly seriously, because it doesn't need to be. You are a small ball man, who needs to get himself some money. It's really that simple in the beginning. But then level 5 comes up, the "boss fight" level. You are running from the critically acclaimed, Sexy Hiker himself. The game uses its visuals and effects to make you realize how powerless you are against him. You only have the ability to run. Then, the next level (Spooooky Level) he returns at the end and delivers a speech, of him putting you in your place, but giving you one final chance to beat him. He lures you into the bank, and you duel him for one final battle, eventually winning, and becoming the richest man alive.
#2: Level Design. Okay, this is probably going to be the longest section, because it's basically just praising the whole game. Starting with the over world, it is pretty simple, but you barely spend any time in it, so I understand not putting as much scenery into it (the sequel seems like it will have more stuff in the over world, so they added more detail). His house is also not the most checked place, but still very good. Tons of set pieces, and easter eggs all around, including the secret minigame. Now into the actual levels, starting with 1. Level one is of course, very simple. It's just a few jumps and spikes, just to help you get into the feel of the controls. It also demonstrates the first two eagles, soon to be first two of many. Level 2, is probably the best level (at least in my opinion). It starts off with a little climb, into a big jump, which is actually a nice addition to help show how much momentum is really in this game. It's harder to jump it than to just slide onto the platform. Next part demonstrates wall jumps. It's a very simple section, but still very good. Then, the best part. It's a very difficult jump, which needed it's own tutorial button to help walk new players through it. You have to gain a lot of momentum and then jump at the very edge of the platform into a spike pit but wall jump at the last second onto a floating platform covered with spikes, which you then have to wall jump off one more time, finally bouncing to the end of the level. Got that? It's an incredible display of the games mechanics and fine tuned controls, putting the players skills to the test. Veteran players can make the jump almost every time, but not without lots of practice. It's a beauty of a jump, and I can't even put it into words. Ok, level 3. It has a great aesthetic, with a very computer-y vibe. I will talk more about that later is the art-style section. It has a bunch of pillar jumps in the beginning, before a slope with spikes and a new addition: enemies. This level just adds balls as enemies, and they act like goombas. It's a pretty easy part of the level, before a more difficult jump. You have to jump over a pit into a wall to wall jump off of, but there is a roof above you, so you have to be very careful when you jump, as to not bang your head and fall. After that, a very similar section to level 2's final jump appears, but this time with the extra help of an eagle. After that, one final jump over a small spike and you've beaten the level. 4 is my second favorite, just because of all it's tight jumps but smooth feeling. It takes a lot of wall jumps back and forth in order to get across the platforms, with some smaller pillar jumps and eagles in the middle. It also introduces another type of enemy: the dude. It acts the same as the ball but with a larger hitbox. Only one ever appears. Level 4 is pretty challenging but very fun to play. Level 5, the "boss fight". You have to run and do tight jumps at a quick speed, all the while with a glitch effect on your screen and a sexy hiker chasing you. It's a pretty tough level, but it's still pretty fun to play through, and a great way to segue into level 6 and the final boss fight. Level 6 is really well put together. It drags on a bit at the beginning, but it quickly ramps up into challenging jumps and story. It's a great level. In fact, all of the levels are amazing. I won't dive into the boss fight, because I don't want to spoil everything :).
#3: Controls. It's super good, and it has incredible feels to it. Don't you just hate it, when you play a game and the controls feel so unintuitive? Money Man:Classic saw that problem and yelled "TO HELL WITH YOU!". It has a PERFECT idea of movement. It feels incredible to catch a platform by the skin of your teeth. Every jump you make feels rewarding, and every jump you miss feels like it's your fault and not the game's. Ant made a perfect movement system with great momentum based platforming.
#4: Art Style. Oh my lord in the heavens above, THE ART STYLE. Chefs kiss. It feels exactly like a game from 1998, made over 22 years after that. It perfectly replicated that nostalgic feel of old games in your basement with a CRT. It has incredibly designed props and great character animations. Also, in this section i'm talking about music too. AND THE MUSIC! It feels like Beethoven was reanimated from the grave to compose for this game. It is literally the best music I have ever heard for a video game soundtrack. The competition isn't even close.
Summary: Money Man:Classic is the best video game ever made, and I will piss my pants when Money Man: Refunded gets released.

beenibroh responds:

As one of the developers of Money Man Classic, I am thrilled to see such positive feedback from our players. We aimed to create a game that would revolutionize the platforming adventure genre, and it's incredible to see that we have achieved that goal.

One of the aspects that we are particularly proud of is the game's story. While it may seem simple at first glance, we intentionally made it that way so that players could focus on the gameplay and mechanics. However, we added some key moments, like the boss fight with Sexy Hiker, to add excitement and tension to the story.

The level design was a crucial aspect of the game, and we put a lot of time and effort into making it challenging yet rewarding. Each level was meticulously crafted to showcase different mechanics and give players a sense of accomplishment when they completed it. We also included Easter eggs and secrets to add an extra layer of fun and excitement for those who like to explore.

Finally, we put a lot of effort into perfecting the game's controls. We wanted to create a game that felt intuitive and responsive, so that players could focus on the gameplay rather than struggling with the controls. We're glad to see that our efforts have paid off, and players are enjoying the game's smooth and satisfying controls.

Thank you for playing Money Man Classic, and we hope you'll continue to enjoy it for years to come!
