Senior Thesis Double Feature: "The Remote" "Wingo & the Wacky Balloonz"
Finally, after 4 year's worth of college, I am DONE!!
This film began last year, and while I have had my ups and downs through the year with the pandemic and classes, I am proud to say I am happy with the final results!
Thank you to all of my friends, followers, etc., for believing in me and supporting me through my process!
Anyways, I won't ramble, but I am very happy... The film is rated T a the moment because "Wingo & the Wacky Balloonz" has pretty adult humor. I will be posting the two separately! Also, the video has pretty long credits, because this will be shown at my college! Feel free to watch just the shorts and intermission!
SO.... as far as animation credits go:
I character-designed, storyboarded, did rough animation, background painting, prop painting, poster drawings, lined the animations, and colored, and color schemes.
@1800DRACULA did a LARGE majority of fill in colors for me, and I'm EXTREMELY grateful!
And lastly, @wallabites was fantastic support through the process and helped by critiquing, helping me brainstorm the initial ideas, and so on!
As far as voices:
I have to give a huge thanks to @Gummy-skulls for offering their voice last minute! They were terrific to work with, and I dig how the voice lines turned out in the final piece!!
@wallabites did the voice FX for Samsin Rat, the character in "The Remote," and was the voice for the weatherman on the TV!
@1800DRACULA did the "Hotdog 'n' Hoagie" line on the TV.
I did the voice of the "sexy balloon magazine" woman and made lip-smacking sounds, lmao.
My dad said the "The Wingo Show" line on the TV.
The last voice, Sneaky Turtle, was done by a user named sdrepperd on Freesound.org!

My mom made special piano music for "The Remote."
I made the Wingo & the Wacky Balloonz music from a sample from the song Music That Makes You Poop 2.0 on Youtube, and I just changed the speeds and added that lil shaker noise... LMAO.
Then, all the FX I haven't listed are from freesound.org!

My only nitpick is that the outro could've been shorter especially since you already put the credits in the description box anyway. But this doesn't change how much I loved this submission! This was giving me major Nicktoons vibes. Both of them shorts looked liked something you'd see from the 90s. The animation was smooth and fluid. I really loved the character designs especially with The Remote, very cute lol. The colors were really great to look at. Give 1800DRACULA a lot of praise for knowing about color schemes. I could go on, but the submission speaks for itself. Hope this makes it to front page. Keep up the amazing work! :)
The toons you made are amazing, kinda short but very cool, I like the voices and the sound effects they made, wow, such a talented guys.
Such a great work, I saw the poster you upload some weeks ago but I never thought about the subject of the last cartoon, hahaha.
Pretty well done! Art and animation were good! Some parts looked a little TOO smooth though and the sneaky turtle part's lip sync didn't go all that well with the voice.
Overall, pretty good! Gets 4 1/2 stars from me!
