the map of the area could be shrinked and put on the upper left since, from my time playing at least, there is nothing of importance in that area in the rooms I've been in. I feel like navigating was a bit more complicated than it should have been. I recommend adding the arrow keys to each screen and write where it leads to. Maybe number each room on the minimap and then refer to the rooms by number by the arrows. The flash lights either ran out of power or that mechanic just broke because I was not able to use either flash light at one point after switching between the two quickly and switching rooms at the same time. This was a decent project. Overall: for your next project consider the readability of your interface. Since this game is using arrow keys, maybe making the house in a grid shape would make it easier to understand and navigate. OR, make it a point n click (enter new area by clicking doors) and you dont have to worry about arrows at all.
Share your next project with me when its done. I'd like to see it.
