On screen, we see a happy character, willing to make fun of herself, but we go behind the smile, talking to her friends, and collegues about what has really happened over the past month for the budding talk show host.
So sad but it plagues many places. Smiles for the camera hide what is truly going on.
But yeah, "Simpsons Already Did It" can apply to almost anything. South Park joked about it.

I remember the Simpsons doing it with "behind the laughter" or something, that was the inspiration.
Thought this'd be all comedy but hmm... not sure? Is it? Is it a cry for consolidation masked as potential joke? The ambiguity of the tone, the serious message at the end and all... hope you're alright D.Va Clock! Never mind those sixes now, true appreciation shows in the faces you're facing, both just in haze or adjacent, be great; keep on chasing!
