Is there an alternative ending to this game? The end screen says "You escaped but you must still find your friend.". The Crystal Ball and the shoe (presumably of your friend) are never used, it would be logical to somehow use the crystal ball to locate the friend from the shoe, but I can't work out anyway to do it.

There is much to like about this one. The map that lets you track what happens in a location to the puzzles that tease the mind. I did note that in a few instances if it wasn't for the mouse rolling over it; it'd never be seen. Major example was the combo lock. I might try the NG flash player next time since I saw one review where the person thought it helped.
Lastly since you so kindly supply a lighter; I'd love to use it to burn down the room I'm in or maybe the whole asylum when I'm stuck for whatever reason. Then I can relax and say, "Burn, baby burn!"

Reminds of late nights playing these games after homework. Love the nostalgia. 5/5

Another great flash game made that I enjoyed :)

Great game as always SD. I just want to point out a "bug" that happened, you don't need the batteries to make the flashlight work in the dark room, I was able to turn it on before finding the batteries.
