I started this animatic back in july, 29th 2020

o,o I JUST got it done

Today. as of October 7th of 2020. and im HAPPY it be done!!

a-and.. this is seriously something I'm REALLY proud of! the backgrounds have been a huge stress and a big pain however. I've been heavily referencing mewni backgrounds with the butterfly castle. theres... Not many mewni backgrounds to be honest.. Not even anything for the underworld backgrounds either ;-; so most stuff I kinda had to eyeball and wing it. especially since this sorta.. has alot of fields of flowers and tree type scenery.

anywhom, these characters are Mocha flix and Slythe Valex.

they are both NOT from the show. they are both fan character obvi.. Mocha is mine. and Slythe, Dispite the fact that I DRAW him and animate him alot, specifically belongs to my BOYFRIEND. only thing is my boyfriend doesnt exactly... Draw or have time to learn cause of work and possibly collage. so Im sorta the one who does the art for him cuz I loves him and he is my bab uwu heheh.. *cough* ahem.. gushy stuff aside..

Aside from him being villainous in this Animatic, This animatic is actually based off Slythe and Mochas past, when they first met.

Slythe currently is a REDEEMED villain. He used to be an asshole. or as my friends and bf and I called him Greater chode

he be lesser chode now xDD

For those wondering about whats happening here:

Slythe had a hard past..mewmans killed his family, and he was adopted at a young age by mewmans who only wanted to abuse him since theres a whole thing with the mewman monster hate.

Finally he had realized after seeing he was only adopted only to be used as a monster punching bag, something in him sorta.. snaps, and at an adolescent age, he murders his adoptive mewman parents.

After fleeing to the underworld, he set his plans in motion. He would develop wealth, power, and status in his home dimension. It started off with conning others out of their money in order to establish the funds for downtown businesses. His casino became his main source of income. He spent most of his time in his villa, researching ways of power and mewman magic.

Upon coming across Toffee's gems of forbidden influence, (an Artifact made up in MY OC AU; CLEARLY not CANON ARTIFACTS-- ) his sight became focused on those artifacts. They were designed for power, something he craved for the sake to do what he thought was right, and that was burn every single mewman alive.

So with that aside, This animatic is about him searching for these jewels with mocha accompanying him.

so why IS mocha helping him?

Back When she met Slythe, he was a gentlemen. And...convincing. she went to his casino for her birthday. and She met him there since he owns it. well.. she gained feelings for him as they went on dinner outings. when mocha finally told him how she felt, He basically..sorta.. revealed his plans and true intentions. making her HELP him with his plans.. so she had no choice but to help him find these Artifacts.

Mocha believes in change, and was hopeful he'd change himself around..

and.. technically she WAS right.. since currently in my recent dA art he IS redeemed.. ;v;

but in the past.. he was bad..

so just keep in mind this animatic is based on their past, when he was a villain. o-o and this song fit.. too well
