That was awesome more worlds please
Description:
Resurrection is an intense 2d Souls-like platformer inspired by games like Celeste and Dark Souls.
Wielding only a sword and a trusty suit of armor, you must traverse a dangerous, brutal, and eerie landscape filled with secrets. Along your journey, you will face a variety of unique foes who stand in your way.
To what exactly?... Nobody knows what lies ahead, after all no one has made it out alive. Dying is inevitable and surviving is impossible. But escaping is unfathomable.

I like the game but i have a few complaints. Sometimes the jumping feels off. Also if you're gonna mark this as soulslike maybe consider adding an estus flask of sorts. The first boss feels very rough and i feel as though I have little opporutnity to dodge so having a healing flask would make the fight a little more forgiving.
The assets are impressive but sometimes attacks won't land and some enemies take 2 seconds to die after being hit. It's not like there's a death animation so there shouldn't be a reason why they're alive still attacking. As for controls, I'd recommend using traditional controls (i.e. W=Jump). It can be very uncomfortable and almost alien to use the spacebar for jumping and Q and E for additional controls in a WASD oriented game. I'd also recommend using keys instead of the mouse to go through dialogue.
Not a bad game, but could do more to improve. Most of the comments share my same view as recommendations so I won't dabble on that too much. I do wanna say labeling the game as souls-like is fine, but it also warrants a metroidvania label. I really thought I was gonna get a good souls like experience but it ended up feeling more like Ghost and Goblins. It does have enemies that behave like a mix of souls and metroid, but that's as close as it gets to Souls for me. Anyway, it was still a fun game. Thanks for the good time mate.
If you did the art and music yourself, that's immensely impressive. I would bet a tenner that you didn't, though, so please either give credit to whoever did or come to me for your tenner.
It looks fantastic and the movement's good but there are so many small details that spoil the fun and make this a frustrating experience:
-I saw in your comments that the arrow keys worked, but not before I attempted the game's recommended control scheme of AD and Q. Hands do not work like that!
-It's not satisfying to have enemies who die a second or two after they're hit.
-Blind jumps should always be avoided unless you give some hints (like coins sometimes do in a Mario game),
-Making the player use the mouse to skip dialogue in an otherwise keyboard-only game is annoying.
It feels like you could put out a much better game if you just gave yourself a bit of thinking time to pay attention to the small details.
I appreciate the feedback. The art is mostly license-free assets found on the internet, but the music is created by me. Thanks, I will look into making those improvements as suggested.
