animation is smooth
I really like how the animation is pretty smooth here you have some great character design too, and the voice work is amazing aswell, you could really make a nice series off of this just an idea to think about, anyways great stuff here look forward to even more.

Was going so well until that ending... I thought the twist would be when he challenged the gym leader. Oh potential gym leader pun. Totally missed. But totally shocking yourself after all that success... man. Not the kind of fan story I was hoping for...
Then again these were all kinda twisted like that. Not bad after all....
