You pose a good philosophical question but I'm afraid I have no answer. Why do people do anything in life? Why are we even here in the first place? I don’t know.
It's true. Animators don't have to wear pants. It's very short but I like it. Try to make some more animations like this or fewer that last longer and work on more complex movements and techniques.
