Distance Zing is a game made to remind us of the importance of social distancing when there is a virus about.

When we are told by our doctors to social distance, it’s not just for the heck of it – you need to do it! It is designed to spread to prevent spread of nasty bugs and viruses such as the coronavirus. By keeping apart from each other, we don’t allow COV-19 to hop from one person to another.

We made this game as some people don’t understand what social distancing means. So, let us put it as simply as possible…. KEEP 2 METERS AWAY FROM PEOPLE AAAAh… its that simple…………hear me roar !!!!!

The vast majority are following this simple advice. However, there are some people who keep walking or running as if nothing has changed. It has. You need to walk or run AROUND people, not through them.

this is terrible, the camera is slippery (why would anybody make the camera slippery??) the controls are terribly imprecise and there's a FUCKING stamina bar. there's so many unnecesary things too, like: robots as people, giant crystals with no purpose, end level objective NEXT TO WHERE YOU SPAWN. this is awful, but it can be better if any amount of effort is put in

Some problems that make the game not worth playing, but could be fixed.
Mostly it is pretty well implemented, and it is a shame that it is unplayable on a PC.
1st - view. You can't easily get the view to be in front of yourself, you have to move the mouse to the edge of the play area, then move it around to the opposite side, then move it on to keep turning.
Solution: turn view so that you're facing where the mouse is pointing. Edge of play area = 180 degrees.
2nd - only option to move is WASD, not arrow keys. Minor issue.
3rd - lack of context. In the real world, we know where we're at, and why we're here.
In the game, we are no place in particular, with no need for moving at all.

Fine game, a little hard to play. I really dont understand the game but it is fun sometimes, just not fun when you are running around everywhere looking for just one item.
