My entry for the Haxeflixel Game Jam 2020 (theme: Alone, Together).

This is a short (10 levels) puzzle platformer.


Recommend using Chrome to play the game.

Lag/Slowdown issues? Use the Effects button on start screen / options menu to toggle effects OFF.

This should remove player trail and glitch effects.

It will also set the draw rate to hopefully a consistent 30 FPS.


Arrow keys, or W, A, D.

Space also works for jump.

Update (Latest 05-12-2020)

Performance improvements.

Added partial controller support (move - left stick or dpad, jump - bottom face).

Added Effects toggle button for lag issue.

Mute bug fix.

Added FPS counter.

Increased player speed.

Haxeflixel Game Jam

My first game jam. Theme immediately gave me an idea and with the time allotted a short puzzle game seemed doable.

Initial game mechanic tests were promising so I dove in creating the rules. I used OGMO editor 3 to build the levels which made iterating on levels easier (once you got over the editor's quirks and limitations).

I had a lot of fun making the game.

This is an excellent little puzzle game with a great use of theme. I do need to comment on the performance, as turning it off made the game so bland, but turning it on made it unplayable. If you haven't already, check out HxScout, I guarentee the problem is a lot simpler than it seems as to why this game runs so poorly. I know for a fact Haxe can handle these effects no problem, but minor details in *how* they're done can be taxing on the system.

I think this game really sells this concept of mutual loneliness, and I love how the music really ties it together. Good work overall.

Pretty cool game! I like the puzzles and how tricky and mind-bending they can get at times! That said, I do feel like there is a bit of a difficulty curve problem, with the first levels being easy and linear, then suddenly a really hard level, then easy and linear, then super hard. Maybe move around the levels a bit and add some more 'learning mechanics' levels. Also the movement can be a bit frustrating: feels like you're moving through water, or even tar, with how slow you go. Also it's a bummer that it didn't save my progress.

The slow movement is not intentional but a lot of players have reported this issue. Unfortunately the only workaround I have right now is to turn off the effects.
