Defeat the Birthday, claim back your life, or fail and grow stronger with every coming year.

It's a very basic shoot-em-up with some simple upgrades, depending on how skilled you are it can be a simple 5 - 10 minute play through.

I made this over a couple weekends for a friend's birthday. It was a short experiment to get back into making games again.

Screen size update:

A lot of reviews mentioned the screen-size was too big - I've gone ahead and made the screen smaller and zoomed the camera out to account for this - personally I preferred the larger pixel size, but unfortunately it's not possible to have both without having something like 1.25 pixel size and it ends up warping stuff and lookin gross.

Balance Update

I made the gun a slight bit weaker, but improved the reload system. It now doubles the damage of all bullets in the chamber, this makes the ammo upgrade more worth it.

Level Update:

A few people mentioned they weren't aware of double jumps and wall slides/jumps - I've updated the room before the boss to make this more obvious.

Controls Update:

No one likes the space bar jump - who knew?

I've kept it but also made it so you can jump with up or W, and added arrow key controls too.
