Neat and Tidy is a game all about arranging shapes into the most "fitting" arrangement possible.
Every item has a Size, Shape and Colour. When two neighboring objects share one or more categories, they each score a point. If they are diagonal neighbors, they score half a point.
Please provide feedback on this project. I consider it to be in a functionally complete state, however if I get enough of a good response to it I may update the game with more levels.
NOTE: The one expert puzzle isn't actually that difficult. My mistake. I was intending to make more but didn't get around to it.
MOBILE USERS: Enable fullscreen by clicking on the blue square in the bottom right, and have screen rotation enabled. Note, this may end up not upscaling the resolution, as I can't really have two different resolutions based on what us being used to play this. I apologise for any inconvenience.

Excellent puzzle game, haven't seen these mechanics before and they really make you think. Don't understand why this hasn't got much more love. Simple, relaxing and yet also challenging. Nice graphics and sound.
PLEASE ADD (if you're going to do anything else) a feature so we can double-click on a shape we've previously placed then decided to remove - would be far easier than dragging it back to the left-hand area.
I have been considering adding more levels and such, and that does sound like a decent addition yes. The only thing I have to consider is that updating the game overrides any save data unfortunately, so I've been hesitant to update this.
Perhaps I'll just release it as a separate upload or something.

A little tricky to understand but I like the idea and art style!
Yeah that is a pretty common response I've gotten, haha. I can't say I've ever seen a game like this before.
Definitely soothing though even after playing the tutorial levels I'm not sure I 100% grasp the rules of how nice the arrangements look.
Short version: when two items are next to each other, they score points based on same colour, same shape(or category) and same size. Scores half points for diagonal neighbors.
