Long Drive Home

Going home. Your old sturdy motor is creating its characteristic rattle. This car has been with you your entire adolescent life.
The road is clear, like the sky. Owls are outside you can hear their mating sounds, but you decide to listen to the radio instead. A wave of static. You search the radio to find the next channel. When you finally tune into your feelings...

A neo-noir style, moody loop I created for practice. But once I added sound-design it turned into so much more. Everything was animated frame by frame (except for pans and zooms, added later in post)

Nice. for a few seconds there I thought it was Wallace Breen's dulcet tones coming to us live on the car radio. ;)

love the style

The only problem I have with it is just how over the top bumpy the car & dude's motions made the ride look vs how smooth the road looked for the duration...lol. It was pretty well done overall but I honestly made this review just to second the last guy's question... what was that track?! It's so good!

justGoscha responds:

Yes definitely looks a bit too bumpy for that kind of road. There should have been some rocks indicated there to sell it better :D

Excellent animation. What's the name of the song that plays at the end?

justGoscha responds:

Song is "Goin' Back Home" by Fourplay

can someone fill me in on wtf i watch?

justGoscha responds:

Whatever you wannit to be ;)

Just relax and let your mind go with the flow :)
