Megaman X vs. Zombies III

Share Collapse

At long last. I had the vision for this episode since 2015, but my PC crashed and I lost the editable file for that version of the episode. Years later at the end of 2018, I thought to make another version of Megaman X vs. Zombies III, to resurrect the series. Few months later at September 2019, I'm ESTATIC to say I finally completed Megaman X vs. Zombies III!

Ok I know I'm three years late but this was awesome and incredible you really out did yourself with this animation it was solid great and high quality good job on this my guy. 😎👍

NanoSoft responds:

Thank you so much! This is my favorite sprite animation I made even after all that time, it's my most ambitious, longest, jam-packed one I made to date! I really wanted to get big with this animation so I put the time and effort in, glad you noticed! I remember you liked the trailer for it too so glad you saw the end result and loved it! :D

Very nice!

NanoSoft responds:

Thanks, much appreciated! ^_^

Good effort on the animation, but I agree with TheReviewTrickster. It was pretty fast pace, Mega Man was to (OP). No real direction to it, with all the power in the beginning then a weak ending.
Give your camera cuts a few seconds of time, then animated the scene. Nice use of effects.
IMO, step away from low res sprites and over used characters.
Also, did Sonic teach Mega Man the spin dash? lol

The animation wasn't bad, but the action was pretty boring. Megaman is so OP and just blasts through a shitton of basic zombies (speaking of which, their size is inconsistent and it's a pretty lazy-looking way to use their assets, because WHY ARE THEY HUGE!?). He uses different moves, but there are so many times where he just mows them down without them coming even close. *He never gets attacked, except by the boss.* That's not a fight. On top of that, he's never actually hurt. There's no danger. The space is inconsistent, too, why did he go to the street in the lawn area to teleport to a random roof? The zombies just pop out of nowhere and get yeeted off screen immediately, occasionally with quick, hard to follow cuts. Then there's a mini-montage of all things in the desert that ends as abruptly as it started where he just gets random powers and blasts through everything. Even the big boss is basically useless. The problem is he doesn't work for the powers, he doesn't put in effort. That's why it's not compelling watching him fight. Different zombie types are underutilized and often pretty useless, like the Zamboni one at the start and the balloon ones. The football, pogo and digging zombies did something, but even they were a little too easy. There's just no strategy to it, he just gets more and more powerful.
Try taking this into consideration to make your next movies more interesting.
