Without instructions on how to actually play the game, it makes it difficult to get started.
After figuring out, the i, o and c buttons are so far out of one another that it's frustrating to navigate through the menu when not in the fight.
@sniffaLussnus: You are absolutely right that the information was in "How to play" which I obviously missed. The keys are still quite far outside of one another to use during a fight (i, then return or o to select).
have u tried to press the " how to play" button at the beginning :) ?
i thought it was logically to have the following functions on the keys.
inventory : I
close : C
open : O
I like 2d side-scrolling RPG's when done well. This game is in the middle of meh for me for the following reasons:
1. Enemies just run into your sword. The beetle looking ones I can understand as they're meant to be the 'goombas' of the game. But the two-headed snakes after do the same thing. I was all ready for them to shoot a fireball at me so I'd have to utilize jumping in combat but nope they just run into my sword too.
2. The shop doesn't work. I get moving the arrow down to what I want but I can't buy anything. Hit space to select...nope. Left mouse click...nope. Explanation as to how to get a new sword or potion...nope.
I decided I'd seen enough at that point. Fix these two BIG issues and I'll give the game another look. Otherwise its concept has been done better, more often, on Newgrounds and you should gleam some knowledge from such games on how to improve.
hi, you are supose 2 press "B" in order to buy. After you bought you items you can open up your inventory (i) and equip your items. :). this is one of my first game and the enemys do kinda walk straight into you like old games like faxanadu etc.
the game also contains enemys who shoot projectlies, jump Etc.
