The game has potential. He really does. If it became an RPG with various actions available, dialogues to unlock, characters, monsters, complex history, it would certainly be very successful in the community. It has potential but there is still much to improve. With effort you make it a masterpiece. The idea is really very good, it just lacks accomplishment.

While the game is stable, the game is not enjoyable to play.
The story goes completely out the window apart from that you have 14 days (56 turns), but you're not gathering data. You're either travelling (which adds nothing as far as I've been able to determine) or search for supplies, which has a quite low chance to yield any result (both positive and negative), meaning you can easily run out of turns before anything happens.
