It got DEEP for a while there! And dark, potentially... but it came full circle again in the end.

Maybe the cat and dog segway was a hint. Two creeds of creatures who don't usually get along, but somehow in this universe they do... and maybe humans can too then? Maybe there can be peace after all.

Man this went deeper than I thought it did... think I'll remember this one. Such a good end, and all just because it had the potential to not be?

Is it deep story or too flat to be complicated... well, I du no lol

Art-house flash

It's interesting. Feels like it tells a tragic story.

The impression I got from this, is that the scorpion went ahead and killed the frog as expected.

The sunset, as they reached the other side of the river, signifying they were dead, and had reached the "other side" of the veil between living/dead worlds, ala Charon, the ferryman who takes souls to the land of the dead.

That's why the scorpion was sad, because he realized he was dead, the joke was on him because the frog wanted to die (depression perhaps?). It saw the scorpion, knew what he'd do, and drew him into it as some form of assisted suicide. That's why the frog was mocking him about "nature" near the end of the short.

End result being, the frog got what he wanted, and the scorpion realizing he was played, gaining nothing from it, not even death.
