On the Same Page - Graduate Film

Share Collapse

So I got a Youtube comment recommending me to upload this here, so I figured why not? Always loved the content uploaded here many moons ago.

My Honours project for my Bachelor's Degree in 2017. On the Same Page looks at shared and differing perspectives amongst people, and observes overarching ideologies that shape how we think, both societal and individual. By scrutinising the media as a means of influence, we consider how we can shape our understanding of the world, and how our world in turn shapes us.

I'd love to hear your comments and feedback so if there's anything you want to say or ask about the film, please let me know!

noise is taking over and there is no stopping it

bitsky responds:

Good noise? Bad noise?
Nobody knows, but it sure as hell is LOUD.

Thanks for the rating and comment mate!

I didn't understand what was going on. The animation was good though :)

bitsky responds:

Hahah, sometimes it's best to come to your own conclusions about what's happening - the brain can come up with some pretty creative ideas that's for sure.

This animation left me with the feeling of old stick figure Newgrounds meets George Orwell's 1984 meets The Cabinet of Dr Caligari. And I like it^^

bitsky responds:

1984 was actually part of the preliminary inspiration for the project! I used to do Pivot stickfigure animations back in the day so it's a nice feeling going full circle and uploading something like this to Newgrounds...

You did a good job with the various first person angles, and just the camera perspective movement in general

bitsky responds:

Hey mate thanks so much! The first person perspectives and camera angles played an important part in showing people's different mindsets; I appreciate the appreciation!

Good

bitsky responds:

Thanks bud!
