In my attempts to play couldn't get past the title screen, no buttons seemed to work.

How weird. It works for me, maybe your browser is focusing on the web and not on the game. Try clicking on the game before you play.
It was pretty fun, I loved the cute and comical style. Hoping to see more in the future.
Only issue was the dialogue taking awhile, but cheers and good luck to you and this project.
... This game made me ask myself many questions, but either way, I like what I played! Muscular cat beating evil aliens to death and doing epic poses in that time... Awesome ;)
I'd suggest making the dialogues faster and skipable, waiting through them was a pain. Other than that, keep working on this game, I can see it becoming something amazing ^_^
