Virtual Bass

This is my second Virtual Instrument. After I had finished the Virtual Drum Set I was inspired by my friend to make more for other instruments. I made this Bass just to keep him entertained but it turned out a bit better than I thought. It was a bitch just getting the sound to work so keep that in mind as you play around with it.
Also, I thought that this would be a lot more original than the Virtual Drum set.
BTW: I could only fit in 10/21+ frets. So just try to be cool with that.

PS: To better enjoy the game read the instructions.
If you don't like this, what can I say. Its just one of my more original ideas. I'm sure its the first or one of the firsts of its kind, there is lots of room for improvement.

not good

The sound is terrible and the 'gameplay' is disastrous.

great concept, terrible result

Great idea, the vitual bass and all, but the way it turned out was aweful. first off, the fret idea was great, but everything else sucked.

Being a bassist, I had to check this out.

As with any music based flash the sound quality is key, unfortuneatly the sound was very buzzy and the bass sounded like a fart (Sorry!) It was a good idea to have sound tracks to play along to but, they were poor quality. I know this was made in 2002 so the technology is not as good as what we currently are used to. It's a good idea but, it just doesn't work as well as it should have. Also, the tuning was very confusing. Perhaps that is why the bass sounded weird? I admit you put in a nice effort, try making one with the better technology I'm pretty sure it would be awesome!

shit piece of crap

k that was either a fart or a bass i have no clue u cast shame upon the bassists of the world ur virtuial guitar was cool u just need to work on sound on all ur virtual instrument and ull b good

Well...

Can't say I'm too pleased with this, although I do like the idea.
But what can I say, it's a really hard concept to map out, so you get Kudos for trying.
I'm a bassist, so if I'm a little critical, sorry, but let me explain.

Graphics - Well, it wasn't made for visuals anyway...
Style - Excellent idea
Sound - It got the point across that you were playing bass, but that's about it.
Violence - None
Interactivity - I didn't like how when you'd play an open string it'd go sharp. And it was hard to seamlessly change notes. Try playing "Feel Good Inc." Impossible.
Humor - None to be had.
Overall - Good idea and all, although it is definately hard to create much, if any, better, I didn't think you carried it out to standards in which I could appreciate. I'm sticking to my bass. Or even better, Punk-o-Matic.
