Sega Shorts

As both a developer and publisher, Sega has help create many franchises. So lets watch some shorts about them!

This volume of shorts has had a lot of development issues. We started the project back in 2013 but then our YouTube channel was hacked for almost 2 years making everyone think the channel was dead which in turn stopped new animators joining in the project. When we got the channel back we uploaded Robotnik Shorts along with the Sega Shorts Credits animation: Sega Generations. But it wasn't enough; there was still a lack of awareness that we returned. We had a dry spell because no new animators were joining the team. Fortunately Vectors Knickers and Sonic Seconds brought life back into the channel and we finally got new recruits to help finish the Sega Shorts.

We hope you enjoy watching it!

Watched loads of these! Pretty cool to re-watch.

Eeeeeh.

I understand that you guys went through a lot of bullshit, and that's one thing I don't wish upon anyone. But that doesn't change the bottom line: This collab sucks.

There was clear heart behind this animation but that heart isn't enough to carry repetitive jokes, an almost complete lack of any sort of impact to anything, poor sound design and a whole slew of other issues. I remember looking forward to TheWax's shorts, but they've been decreasing in quality since arguably volume 5. You guys just don't feel like your passion is in it anymore. And again, I know this collab was exhausting to make...but honestly, I'd rather see it cancelled so you could focus on other things.

I think you all need to take a long-ass break. Work on passion projects that you actually have passion for.

I give this thing a plus for including the Lucid Dreaming cover of Dreams Dreams, and for the decent art style replication of the Puyo Puyo short. Voice acting and extremely stale SA2 joke brought it down a bit, though.

Very nostalgic, I've played several of the games, and it was good to see them back in some form of a new medium. GG!!
