So, I think the numbers could've been a bit clearer in the diary. But that's the only real criticism I have. I figured it out eventually :).
Wow, this was really interesting. That probably sounds like kind of pathetic feedback, but it truly was an interesting game. I love the art style, first of all, I am a sucker for simplistic designs. The grotesqueness of it really was a bit surprising but I liked it a lot. I'm pretty sure there's no music playing or any sounds right? Now I don't know if that was an artistic choice or you just didn't use any (I am not a game developer so I know nothing about adding music or sounds or copyright or anything and I ramble a lot sorry), but I felt that it being completely silent added to the anxiousness of the whole scene. I guess this is just what I personally felt while playing this since I don't know your intentions creating this game lol. And how I was kind of expecting some sort of shocking jumpscare or something to happen at the end, but it didn't, I felt that spoke volumes to how anxiety can really be. Anticipating some horrible event to happen, only for it to never occur. The body parts all stuffed into the cupboards, wow. I interpreted that in different possible ways. Like, the girl and the boy (I'm assuming the one in the hat is a boy with cancer from context?) loved each other, and the boy is dying. But the girl is afraid of being alone and the boy swore they would always be together, so she decides to kill him so he'll always be with her or something? And the bird in the cage sort of was like a metaphor for the boy? I love escape games, and I love games that have some kind of deep meaning. Maybe I'm reading too much into it I'm an emo scumlord so it could be lmao. But this is a better game than I could ever make and I really thought it was a really original take on a really overused genre of escape games (but don't get me wrong escape rooms will always be my favorite thing to play!). Sorry for the long rant, it might just be a bunch of trash because it's 1 am and I can't think properly right now. But basically, nice game and thanks for sharing it with everyone!
