the controls are great but....i dont see enough incentive to keep going.

I liked the game. It was fun for a little while, but it is a little repetitive. I'd love to see this get fleshed out a bit more. I really found the light switch on the right interesting. I wonder if it would save the chicken if you hit it THEN got caught flying? It's too difficult for me to navigate darkness though, so I don't see that being viable. My highest score is 8 apples... Darn farmer loves to stand between the center and right tree, just waiting to grab me once I'm done with the left one.

So I got caught at 9 apples. I don't know that it was fun enough for me to try to win, but it was solid and entertaining. It was a little hard to tell how close I could get without the farmer noticing me and also catching me, but that's the challenge of the game. I'd suggest, too, maybe adding another reason to go back into the pen, like to drink water or get the bird some seed.
