Elevator To Heaven

Share Collapse

I have a personal project series I call "Grey" which revolves around quickly drawn pencil assets to help me learn to animate better

this is kinda my first personal project with sound and stuff (my mr blobby adventure thing was school work that was kinda watched over by my tutor)

the main aim of this project was to try out using sound to help scenery change <3

Was expecting the elevator might lead to instant death, but the literal ride up through the cosmos was an appreciatively unexpected turn there, though with the critical oxygen levels it's both ideas in one I guess? We never really do see how it all ends...

I like the style, sketchy as it is, and the mood it builds. Solid sound effects too. Nice short.

thanks fam, there was a lil more I wanted to do with this but I'm still learning how to use after effects

I have another one of these in the works (currently doing resource drawing between uni work) <3

you got the sound right . good job

Huh, alright .. There isn't really too much of a deep story behind this but I think that the grey pencil art style makes this look somewhat interesting. You could certainly accomplish something cool if you improve on your overall skills.
Alright, keep this up! ;) It would also be cool to see something colored another time.

gloomygvrl666 responds:

thanks :) i started the grey animations just as kinda a practice thing where I wouldn't need to worry about ink/watercolor like I use in comics ^_^
because it's meant to be short and easy I kinda thought "what better way to end an animation then death"
but I'll deffs try to add more story as I get better <3
