AF-ZERO is a shooting em up based on 80's games. The game contains 7 stages, scenarios with multiple scroll, 3 different weapons with 3 levels of power, several enemies.

The story goes after an alien virus invades the system of a military base on the moon, only the prototype AF-ZERO has not been infected, now this spacecraft along with its pilot Vania Scorpion will have to find the source of the virus and destroy it.

This game has its full version available on the Steam site, part of the income is earmarked for animal welfare institutions

Clean, responsive movement and good enemy design means the fundamentals are there. But polish is...sorely lacking. Some projectiles are nigh-impossible to see against the backgrounds, there's absolutely no way to use some of the early-game weapons (you only get one yellow weapon early on so you're stuck being unable to kill ANYTHING from then on until the boss), respawn invulnerability doesn't kick in for a couple frames so you can literally die as soon as you spawn, etc.

Thank you for your opinion.

Enemies might be a hair too difficult at first and need to ramp up as you progress. The retro look serves it well but with how large the sprites are there's very little room to maneuver. All that combines to be a very short play session. Not to mention the music is a little grating with no way to turn it off.
