I always love playing a good ol' gravity-defying game, and this game really knew how to take advantage of its rotating mechanic. Quite a few inventive and fun levels, especially those found later on in the game. I got stumped a number of times, but that's perfectly fine by me- I love being challenged, after all. And every mistake or death I've experienced throughout the game always felt like it was legitimately my fault... meaning that I haven't spotted anything I'd necessarily call cheap level design nor have I found any unexpectedly sharp increases in difficulty. Balanced, as all things should be. The only criticism I have is that I wish Rotate was longer overall, but I think the really fun level editor more than makes up for it.

I'd honestly love a sequel. :P

SHIFT flashbacks.. great job dude.

Thanks! :)

this is an amazing game with some great puzzle parts that got me, i love how theirs also a slow reveling back story as well

JoshuaStone responds:

Thank you, I'm glad you like it! I definitely tried to improve at level design and storytelling while working on this game. :)

Fantastic game! Hella fun to play, with a really interesting vibe. Can't wait for the sequel you're talking about!

JoshuaStone responds:

Thanks, glad you had fun! :D

There were a few levels that got me stumped, but it was fun to figure them out. The game has a similar atmospheric vibe to the Portal series, which is something I really enjoyed. The addition of a level editor is also pretty nifty!

JoshuaStone responds:

Happy you enjoyed it! I was definitely going for a feeling like Portal, with a few other things mixed in. Initially the story was feeling a bit too similar to Portal, until I found a different motive for the AI. From there, the story kind of wrote itself! ^^
