I just became the 3rd person (on this version of the game) to complete all medals – and the first to do so in five years. Took a long time.
Some tips and facts about this grind:
- when you unlock "Love" somewhere around level 90-100, it is the only spell you need. The fights become straightforward from here and you will win 99.9% of the time. You might still want to flee from opponents who decrease your attack continuously.
- you can date the soul whale/level 100 special, it will NOT end the game (you can play on)
- when you get "Sensei"/"Dating Deity"/"Soul Whale", only the two grindy medals should remain (and "Standards" if you haven't done that yet)
- most special encounters do still count for a "successful" date.
- DON'T panic if you don't get your grindy medals right away, just play one more date and you will get it. Also remember to refresh browser once in a while to avoid timeout (I didn't want any risk here).
- you get 1000 right swipes at about 350-450 dates (assuming you don't flee every time)
- at 650-800 dates you reach the 32 bit limit so your highscore gets stuck
- when you are done, your level will be about 630
