Reviews

I love Duke Dashington 2014. While I can see some QoL improvements, I don't think its anything that would keep me from playing the original. I really just wish it was a brand new game for the Duke, or a new room or two for the old-timers to enjoy. I do not score it because I think its bad -its a fantastic game, but I just wonder why it needed to be remastered.

AdventureIslands responds:

It's kind of the same deal with Super Dangerous Dungeons being a more polished remake of the original Dangerous Dungeons, instead of working on a sequel, I wanted to remaster the original game with the proper improvements and polish it deserves before working on a sequel.

I feel all my old flash games are great ideas on paper, but are suffering from my lack of gamedev experience during the time when I made them. They are good games, but not as good as they could have been if I had been more skilled.

Now that there is a proper version of the first game I can be proud of, I can fully focus on making a great sequel someday.

TIL: Wario has a cousin who's a DUKE. :)
In all seriousness, what a great, quick game! The mechanics were tight, the theme was fun, the music appropriate. I'd love to see more from this author!

This games godamn fun. Beat it in about 25 minutes. Everything about it's perfect. Just wish there were endless levels!

The freedom to defy gravity makes this game my favorite platformer. :)

Nice game, obvious wario inspiration.
