One of the last human survivors, you find yourself stranded on an uninhabited island. With a few other victims of the crash, can you craft, mine, and build your way to survival?

Updates can be seen in my news feed: https://davidmaletz.newgrounds.com/news/

Aground was designed around the theme of Progression, and inspired by Utopian Mining and other mining/crafting games. You start out with almost nothing, and you can eventually build your way up to a thriving settlement.

Currently, you can only explore and build on the first few islands, but we have lots of plans for expansion, and the sky is literally not the limit. We’re continuing updates in Early Access ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/876650/Aground/ ) as we add more content and the first spaceship!

We're planning to continue developing Aground based on feedback and suggestions from players, so definitely send me a message or post in our subreddit ( https://www.reddit.com/r/aground/ ) or discord ( https://discord.gg/69Jj6MB ) to determine the course of this game.

Controls are explained in game, and it can be played with keyboard or gamepad. The mouse can also be used to navigate menus (but is not required).

For players who want to play on multiple computers/versions of the game: Save files can be exported from the Options menu on the title page and imported by dragging and dropping the save file into the game.

nice game

I love this game! Musics are awesome, story is great and great gameplay. I'm so addicted in this game. :)

this is possibly the most addicting game I played all weekend i love the story telling the game play is rather smooth it reminds me of old Nintendo graphics so the retro feel is nice I kinda wish this was an old Nintendo game i could play but me thinks it'd be too much for one to handle heh.. and for only ten dollars on steam is a really good deal

love this game

I incredibly adore this game! this game has great music, good graphics, (if your into 2D graphics that is) decent story line, and just amazing overall. This actually could have a chance to become like a real game!
Anyway, amazing game, i'm going to be playing this game a lot, the only bad thing about this game I found was the fact that it takes awhile to really understand how to "play" only because the auto given keys are kinda strange at first but after awhile of playing the game you get them down pat, but amazing game loved it and bye!

(btw I do know that you can change your keys in the settings)

We're already becoming a real game - we just released on Early Access: https://store.steampowered.com/app/876650/Aground/ , and we should have the full version out next year!

As for the controls, everyone has different controls that feel comfortable to them, so I included the option to change keys so that people could use what they liked best, and the defaults are just what I personally like best (I'm weird).
