One of the last human survivors, you find yourself stranded on an uninhabited island. With a few other victims of the crash, can you craft, mine, and build your way to survival?

Updates can be seen in my news feed: https://davidmaletz.newgrounds.com/news/

Aground was designed around the theme of Progression, and inspired by Utopian Mining and other mining/crafting games. You start out with almost nothing, and you can eventually build your way up to a thriving settlement.

Currently, you can only explore and build on the first few islands, but we have lots of plans for expansion, and the sky is literally not the limit. Check out our Kickstarter ( http://kck.st/2rSTnGZ ) to support these expansions!

We're planning to continue developing Aground based on feedback and suggestions from players, so definitely send me a message or post in our subreddit ( https://www.reddit.com/r/aground/ ) or discord ( https://discord.gg/69Jj6MB ) to determine the course of this game.

Controls are explained in game, and it can be played with keyboard or gamepad. The mouse can also be used to navigate menus (but is not required).

Can't wait for your more professional work. This was amazing, it plays great and the design and music was well put together.

i enjoyed every last second playing this, and the music was top notch, even if it repeated over and over again xD. only took me a hour and 30 mins to max out all stats, and to get every achievement. i was really hoping there would be a boss somewhere at bedrock, but there was not, and for the people complaining about the difficulty of this game, if it was any easier, i probably wouldn't enjoy it. the game gets 10X easier the second you get the steel pickaxe, 4 speed upgrades, and 4 endurance upgrades, everything else ain't even needed. I really got sad when i finally made the boat, and started sailing to find out i just beat the game... amazing game 10/10

i cant find iron its too hard and u gotta mine deep

Very fun, I love how you allowed players to access storehouse materials directly when cooking, forging etc - it makes the entire experience much more streamlined and enjoyable. Looking forward to more ocntent in future! A teleport option would be great as well but I can see how that may make the game too easy for some.

Great game! Kept me busy this entire afternoon :) I loved the combination of building with fulfilling quests and gaining levels, and it's also good that other survivors bring stuff to the storehouse so you don't have to micromanage everything (would've been nice though if the miner had brought ores other than coal occasionally). It was also nice to be able to buy some required materials on the market if I ran out of patience mining/farming the entire amount myself :)
My only complaint would be that the same keys are used for multiple actions. This made it uncomfortable to talk to someone when near a building, and at least once I bought a potion by mistake while fighting a wyrm over the alchemist's lab... I should say that otherwise the controls were quite comfortable, combining mouse and keyboard.
