I didn't expect such a masterpiece. i first thought this game would be a small flash game, but i guess i was absolutely wrong. everytime i discovered something new, i wanted to learn more, always thinking i was near the end of the game. i played a total of 17 hours 3 minutes and 23 seconds, ended the demo, but wasnt satisfied enough. i just bought the game on steam, yet idk if i can use the aground cloud on steam.
now, onto the gameplay. people say that the slowness of the character is very bad. i played enough to realise that, after getting maximum speed potions, the game gets unbalanced.
with progression though, the game becomes more balanced with my outdated strategies to exploit money, ressources, etc.
with my 17 hours of my only character, i never died once. it's not that hard to survive on normal difficulty. the critical hits are balanced, and the skill learning aswell. the enemies often stress me out, like when they attack me from both sides.
+: I've heard the low health alert twice, and it's quite useful.
there's alot of work put in the art style, its easy to learn to differenciate(is that how you spell it?) ores, and we get nice vibes from blocks that identify each island, their biome, everything.
i feel like whole islands or their background is always loaded once i'm underground, wich tends to make the game laggy.
there's plenty of music tracks, but maybe missing some that could fit some biomes more than the overworld music at the main island mountain for example,
and maybe also a surface ocean song would be nice.
5 stars. Just excellent.
