In You Are Two you need to control two robots in an abandoned underground laboratory. Your goal is to get both robots to the same position.

I originally developed the game almost a year ago in GameMaker: Studio and published it for Windows on itch.io and gamejolt. I recently bought GameMaker: Studio Professional with the HTML5 Module and decide to improve my three old games a little and upload them here and probably new games in the future after i've improved and uploaded of my old three games.

dude, it's too dark for me to figure out what to jump to... (i have good eyes and good lcd screen) nice concept, but this could have been done better. you can allude to someplace being dark without it actually being too dark, for us, the players. also, let there be a delay of sorts between deaths... it kinda helps process where one messes up versus a "WTF happened?" moment.

It is quite hard. The graphics are great and the music is really emotional and fits the scenario very well. Good work.

i agree. after level 2 it gets really hard. i will add a few easier level between level 2 and 3.

Looks good but I can't get very far, the 3rd level keeps sending me back to the beginning. Looks like a bug to me...

level three is kinda hard i agree. you can't stop on the first plattform but have to immediately jump to the next one since the other robot would land in the blades otherwise.

It's great when it comes the idea of of the game, it's goal, and the music, oh my the music is sublime. Starting out the game, it took me to seconds to figure out what to do, nothing needed to be explained, the name gave me all the hints I needed. But I do have problems with it. First, it looks dull, the sad brown and grey levels contrast with the elements with bright colours, like the enemies or the reversing power up. Second, it gets too difficult to quickly. Levels one and two are nearly perfect, save for the slanted platform killing you (seriously, do you expect anyone to figure that out without dying first?) and second, only ten lives. If you start level and take a minute to survey your surroundings, you die, if you jump in either direction, you die, and when you lose all your lives, its just back to the title, I first thought it was a glitch. Ultimately, the game expects a lot from you from the get go, and it doesn't do a good job of motivating you from the start to keep playing. Add some excitement to the art, and keep the challenge, but make it more fair, according to players mistakes, not some random bull&*$! you can't avoid the first time.

2 and a half stars for a clearly thought out game, but not entirely.

well, about the graphics. it's supposed to be an underground laboratory so of course it doesn't have a lot of vibrant colors and blinking lights. i don't really see the problem here. but i'll probably experiment with the graphics a bit. i totally agree with the level design however. after building and playing the same level over and over again, you often don't know how fast the average player will figure something out, since you had the idea and and played it so often. i will add a few easier level between level two and three. the learning curve there is just too high, i agree.

While I find a great deal of this to be interesting, I can barely see what is a hazard and what is a platform. It also find the fact that I have lives to be annoying.

i'll see if i maybe make the blades a little more noticeable. if you don't like having lifes, press insert+f2. small cheat i built in :p
