Rotary Champion 50 Points

Author Comments

Mouse Only (but arrow keys may be used)

These puzzles offer a simple task: line up the Rotary Hands, but with many mechanical twists the task becomes exponentially more difficult.
These puzzles require the player to think about the consequences of rotating certain Rotary Hands, and how to use them to solve the puzzle.
The star levels are exceedingly challenging, they'll test the true skills of the player.

If background elements are distracting to any players, they can be disabled in the options menu.

Great game. Simple design and complicated gameplay make this a pretty above average game.

JauqGames responds:

Glad you enjoyed my game.

I have to admit this was pretty interesting, but not quite my thing. At least it was different. I guess I'm not much for puzzle games. The music was pretty nice. The colors were good and bright. It's enjoyable.

I'd have to look at a walkthrough. Wow, no easy medals. Well, games are supposed to challenge you. I feel bad for not being smarter. At least I tried.

JauqGames responds:

Glad you found it interesting. I did design this game to be very difficult so don't feel too bad.

Well, this game stumped me.

The premise is simple, but immediately understandable. In a way, it really reminds me of a Rubik's Cube or slide puzzle, where you often have to undo your own work in order to make progress. My brain... doesn't like to work with me on these sorts of things, so I was pretty much stalled out by level 4, the inter-connected square.

My own failings aside, the game seems really solidly put together. The color scheme could maybe use a bit more variation, but the art itself works wonderfully for the minimalist style, especially with the drop shadow/edging on objects giving everything veeeery slightly 3D look.

I would have appreciated a bit of variation in the movement sounds, as that one 'ding' tone can grate a bit after a while, but it's not ever outright annoying in the slightest. The music I'm a bit more torn on. It's a fine backing track, but it feels too high-energy for such a cerebral game, making me a bit anxious when - if I weren't terrible at these puzzles - I should be approaching things more calmly.

All that said, it seems like a solid little game. I'm not the audience for it, but I'd recommend it to my brain-teaser-loving friends!

JauqGames responds:

Glad you enjoyed my game. I'll definitely be taking all of your considerations into my next project, whatever it may be.
Had you made it to level 8 and past it, you would have encountered a new mechanic, which adds color variation.

This game is excellent. You really have to turn on your brain :p

JauqGames responds:

Glad you like it.

i love it!
