Attack on Pumpkin

A very simple game of shoot the baddies and destroy the boss.
This was mostly to test an auto-scrolling feature for future shoot em up games either horizontal or vertical.

Extremely simple concept with well, quite bad graphics as everything is asymmetrical and it seems to be drawn with the brush tool on Microsoft Paint. The controls themselves aren't bad but the character moves so fast it's hard to control them without driving into a pumpkin. It's also a really hard game which sometimes leaves you with truly a situation with no way out as the bullets are above you, behind you and the pumpkins are in every free space that's left, truly too much bullets. The fact that the game restarts completely every time you die is also really annoying.

To improve firstly try to make your art symmetrical or at least use more curved edges: use the line tool! don't be shy because now everything looks like a mess. Try to make the character just this little bit slower and make the bullets either slower or make the fire rate of the pumpkins slower as to avoid getting stuck. I would also suggest using chaos00177's idea and instead of 5 lives give us a health bar: that will make the game less annoying and more probable for the players to reach the end.

I wish you the best of luck with your future games!

PS: Is the title a refference to Attack on Titan?
PSS: Sorry for using the word "slower" a lot, couldn't find synonyms :P

Yes, And I'll work on an HP bar and other features

the game is ok. having to restart the level everytime you die sucks. it makes the fact that you have lives pointless. itd be nicer if you could start from where you died. if you cant do that then itd be fine to give the player a 5 health bar and then just make the life counter go down everytime they get hit and only restart when it reaches zero. good luck with future games
