I have seen this concept in many games, the famous early Blizzard game Lost Vikings and from browser games Karoshi Factory comes in mind. All those games are better then this one. Of course I don't expect this game to be as good as Lost Vikings which is a commercial game but still this could have been improved by giving characters a bit more of a personality, maybe unique form and abilities for each one, some story and have a little more levels and different traps, like doors that enable only a particular color to walk trough or that block only a particular color. As it is this looks like first 5 levels of a proper game, if you expanded it it could have potential to be very good.
Thanks for the feedback! If we expand upon this game I'll definitely check out those games too. I'd say there's soem story in this one but it's very abstract, more of a theme than a story. But anyways thanks!
this is an amazing concept and i think you should keep working on it, but the controls are all over the place so i have no comfortable way to play without moving my entire arm over to the "z" key. and on some occasions the restart doesn't work. the background music is really nice! keep on working on this please because i think this has overwhelming potential!
Thanks! I find it more comfortable with the WASD and JKL but I should've made it so people who use arrow keys have more convenience. Anyways I kinda want to make a port of this with HaxeFlixel, so if I make some sort of follow up it'll be with that, unless I get my hands on a Construct 3 licence...
Gameplay -----> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_8cfmkJyZc This game is a fantastic mix of challenge and fun! I enjoyed playing the game!
thanks! great tutorial!
Gets a little confusing at times but it's still a neat challenging puzzle platformer that has managed to get its gameplay work with the visuals rather well. You might want to be aware that the music plays over itself at the end once the game is finished however.
I want to wish all fellow game designers and artists good luck in the Construct 3 Game Jam!
Neat idea, small bug where after the ending the music plays over itself.
