Four heroes are swept away to the mysterious Valley of Challenge... What lies at the end? Explore its five dungeons and overcome its secret boss to find out!

This is my first finished RPG Maker game... please let me know what you think in the comments!

I like the simple quests on each area of the map, its a classic style of RPG that I loved. The Hero's are really cute selection. The monsters are very interesting and I like the move lists you gave them. You did a great job. only issues are a bit slow at times and their is no sound for me, but I still love the game WONDERFUL JOB <3

FernandoSacchetto responds:

Thanks for the kind words! The problem with the sound might be due to connection slowness (whether on your end or on Newgrounds), since all game files are downloaded on-demand, and sound/music tend to be downloaded last.

So far which is not very, I quite enjoy this game. The gameplay and characters are nice, thanks to RPG Maker, and the author made a nice introduction of the party and why they are where they are. It is easy but it works.

However, the lag is painful. On the worldmap there is a lot of it, sometimes bordering on freezing. (I use Firefox lastest version).

Thanks again for your work.

Have a great day.

FernandoSacchetto responds:

Thank you! Since lots of people have commented about slowness in the world map, I'll try to keep world-map events to a minimum in future projects, to see if that ameliorates the issue.

I've been experiencing some bad lag in the overworld map area. In the dungeon and the inn areas I move quickly. (google chrome fyi)

FernandoSacchetto responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I'll test and see if I identify the problem.

pretty poor job with the engine. if youre going to use the default battle system then adding any action sequencing at all would make combat look a lot better. the engine comes with a generator for characters so i would hope you would use ones that are not default. dungeon layout is okay but its clear the enemies start becoming to hard midway in and you even say "if it gets to hard then come back here and buy items" except you are forced to encounter many enemies on your long session of backtracking to the original starting area. you then have to repeat the area which isnt exactly fun since the dungeon becomes walking a straight line if you already found the switches. there is some exploration but its not much. backtracking sucks really badly (you should fix this), no action sequence in battles is dissapointing since its easy to achieve with the engine. its overall ok

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll see if I work them into my next game - and if this one generates enough interest, I may update/improve it as well.

Visually especially, this game is just STUNNING! I adore the icon art for each character, as well of the sprites. The movements are smooth and it very quickly grabbed my attention!

FernandoSacchetto responds:

Thanks... credit for the art is due to Kadokawa/Enterbrain, the people behind RPGMaker though ;)
